This week we will be looking at the following noun:

VISION

Pronunciation: /ˈvɪʒən/

1ST meaning: The ability to see; the area you can see from a particular position.

Example: After the accident she suffered from temporary vision loss.

Also, we can say that someone with perfect sight is said to have twenty-twenty VISION. In this meaning VISION is uncountable.

2nd meaning: An idea or a picture in your imagination.

Example: The two people share similar visions for the future of the university.

Prepositions used with VISION are ‘of’ and ‘from’.

Here, VISION is countable.

3rd meaning: The ability to think about or plan the future with intelligence and imagination.

Example: She was a leader of vision.

Here, VISION is uncountable.
