Andrew Cornforth joined KAUST in 2021 and has had almost 30 years experience in the English Language teaching profession. He has previously taught, lectured and managed language education programs at college and university institutions in the UK, Asia and the Middle East - including in Saudi Arabia.

With professional and leadership expertise in the field, as well as research interests in the areas of language acquisition, English for academic purposes and international communication in university contexts, Andrew is passionate about language teaching and learner development. His ultimate goal is to enhance the English language confidence and competence of all students at KAUST throughout their studies, research and future careers.

In his free time Andrew is a keen cyclist and swimmer.
